The DEG (German Investment and Development company) helped to fund Green Futures on a rand-for-rand basis together with Grootbos for the first two years in order to assist with the start-up costs. The DEG is involved in assisting with starting up development projects around the world and has a number of other projects in South Africa.

The ABSA Foundation is supporting the Life Skills component of our course. Thanks to Mr George Gibbs and his team for their significant financial contribution which is linked to the Grootbos Foundations involvement in the Gansbaai Spaces for Sports Project.

Hilary Bosher was our original Green Futures Horticulture trainer who has been instrumental in all the success that Green Futures has achieved. Hilary has always had alot of energy in the classroom and on completion of her time with Green Futures she took herself up Mount Kilimanjaro (18,500 feet on the equator through snow and ice) to raise a significant amount of funds for Green Futures. Thanks to Hilary and all those that sponsored her!
