Thulani I’m very happy to be a student at Green futures. I’m from eastern cape in the district of Libode.I always wanted to further my education but could not. I now hope that I further my education at Green Futures and will be able to become what I want in life. After finishing at Green Futures I want to find a good job for me. I want to use the skill I found at Green futures. After that I will see whether I can still go on with my education or not. I’m still on the marathon. Thulani is furthering his studies and is currently studying Horticulture at the CPUT’s Bellville campus.
Moses I want to achieve this year at Green futures to learn more about nature so I will know how to conserve it. I want to enjoy this year and I hope I will achieve my goal at Green Futures. After I finishing with Green futures I want to study more so that I will get a brighter future to raise my child with a good way. My purpose is to succeed in my life and I want to change my community. Moses is currently helping out at the Grootbos Stables!
Rozani Apiwe I want to get a better education. So as to at the end of the year to get a better job, with better salary because I want to support my family. I would like to get a job. I like to work with plants, I will be happy if I can work in the nursery, hopefully at the end of the year I would be perfect with working with plants and get a good job in a nursery. Apiwe is currently working for Superplants in Hermanus!
Mpumelelo Neison Ntsukune This year I want to understand all the lessons I’m participating on. I also want to get more information about agricultural science, because some of the lessons interact with agriculture. I also want to achieve certificates of horticulture, computers and even drivers license. After I finish with green futures I would like to get a job, like a tourist guide or receptionist that will depend on what I have achieved. I also would like to go for further education to get more information but because of the problems I cant. Nelson is currently working for a company that manufactures gates!
Bulelani I realize there is a lot I can learn at Green futures. I want to pass everything properly by working hard with my teachers and pleasing them with things I do. I want to complete everything under good manners, discipline, and doing my work with heart that’s all im praying for. I often hear the sky is the limit and I think there is a lot to know, experience and work with. I definitely want to go on with my education as far as I can. Bulelani is currently working as a garden manager on one of the local farms!
Asanda I would like to achieve horticulture certificate, infact I want to achieve every knowledge about plants that is achievable at Green futures. I want to also get my drivers license so I can be a tour guide at Grootbos. After I finish with green futures I see myself guiding the tourists at Grootbos or somewhere else. Asanda is currently working as a guide on Grootbos!
Yolisa I want to achieve my goals to better future, because it was my feeling to go through with my studies but I did not get the chance. Now this year Green futures college renew that hope for me. I want to be employed but I cant say now exactly what kind of job, because its to early for me to know. I want to further my education and work where I can support myself and my family. Yolisa’s brainchild, inspired by her visit to Eden, the “Cultural Centre at Grootbos” is in the process of being developed. She will sell produce from the Growing the Future project in support of the Foundation. We look forward to the progress of this exiting new initiative!
Buyisile Now im here at green futures this year to learn about things that can I do in my life, bacuse I want to be successful in my life. I lost at school so I want to achieve all the knowledge so that I can do the best and become a legal worker. Buyisile is currently working for the Gansbaai Municipality.
Mnengisa I want to improve my skill, and get some more information. I want to take part in every task here at green futures so I can improve my skill and ability. I just want to see my busy working as a tour guide. And if the one chance of learning more study I want to take it. I want to do my best in whatever I do and I hope through green future I will be given the chance. General is working as a porter in Cape Town.
Lungakazi This year I want success for my future plans. I want to pass my drivers license and I want to achieve a certificate for computers at Green futures.
