Nomthetho Jam Jam – Nomthetho was born in Umtata, in the Eastern Cape. Nomthetho likes to learn new things by reading newspapers and magazines. She started her own vegetable garden at home where she grew cabbage, spinach, onions as well as various fruit trees.
Anecke Valentine – Anecke grew up in Blompark, Gansbaai and is currently working as a Grootbos Guide!
Mzamo Bhenene – Mzamo was born in Port St. Johns in the Eastern Cape. He likes to play soccer, read newspapers and likes to always learn. Mzamo is currently working for Gansbaai Spar.
Bongani Mjokweni – Bongani was born in King Williams Town in the Eastern Cape! He is currently working as a guide at Grootbos and we are very proud of the work he does!
Anathi Mbizeni –Anathi was born in East London, Eastern Cape. Anathi was eager to learn new things during his time at Green Futures! He is currently working as a porter at Grootbos.
Sithembiso Promise Hashibi – Promise was born in the Eastern Cape. Promise likes to play soccer and was involved in ploughing and planting from a young age. Promise is currently working for the Future Trees programme and is responsible for taking care of all the Future Trees that are in our nursery!
Lukhanyo (Lucas) Maninjwa - Lucas likes to play soccer and likes to garden. He is currently working as part of the Green Team which maintains the Grootbos Gardens!
Luthando Mwezeni - Luthando was born in Port St. Johns, in the Eastern Cape. He came to the area after his parents died in 2005. He is currently one of the Grootbos porters.
Anele Tungilizwe -Anele was born in Port St. Johns, in the Eastern Cape.
Mlindeli Fadana: - Mlindeli was born in the Eastern Cape and was interested in Landscaping during his time at Green Futures. He is currently working for Grootbos’s GreenTeam and is responsible for maintaining the Gardens around the Villa.
Abongile Fodo: - Abongile was born in the Eastern Cape and describes himself as a hard worker.
James Windt: - James is originally from Cape Town and is currently working as a garden manager.
Zukisani ‘Jackson’ Vongwe - Jackson was born near Bisho in the Eastern Cape and is currently working as a barman at Grootbos.
